How long will my order take?

Most items are made to order and can take up to 12 weeks to be made and delivered, although we always aim to beat this. If you need delivery before that, please contact the sales team who will be able to help you.

Can I pay on line?

Not at present. In the meantime, a member of our sales team will contact you within 24 hours to confirm your order, answer any questions and process your payment.

How will the furniture be delivered?

We use a dedicated furniture carrier company who are experienced at handling furniture. Please contact the sales team if you have any concerns about delivery including premises with restricted access. The delivery company will be given your contact details so they can contact you to arrange the delivery date. Deliveries take place between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday but please contact us if you need to arrange delivery outside of these hours. We cannot usually deliver on Saturday or Sunday.

Do you take the packaging away?

Yes.

Do you offer a guarantee?

Yes, we do. In addition to your statutory rights, we offer a 5 year guarantee against manufacturing faults. Our terms and conditions set out the full provisions we make in guaranteeing your furniture.

Can I cancel my order?

You can cancel your order without obligation at any time during the first seven days after placing the order by contacting us. Within this time, a full refund will be given. If you need to cancel your order after the seven days have passed, Bevan Funnell may charge a cancellation fee which will be a percentage of the value of the goods and will vary according to how long after the order confirmation the cancellation is received. Please read our full terms and conditions.

If you place your order through a retailer, you will need to contact them to cancel your order.

Can I reclaim the VAT?

In some circumstances, VAT can be reclaimed, e.g. if you are a visitor to the UK. We can offer some assistance, but we recommend visiting www.hmrc.gov.uk for information. We will charge £100 administration fee for processing your VAT refund.

How much is delivery if I’m not on mainland UK?

Please contact the Sales team who will be able to advise you on the best way to deliver goods to destinations not on mainland UK.

Can my order be shipped overseas?

Yes – Bevan Funnell exports worldwide and we will be happy to help you with overseas shipping.

Which debit / credit cards do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard and Maestro. Sorry, we don’t accept American Express.

What do I do if my item is damaged on delivery?

Please tell the driver who delivered it and contact the sales team.

Are there any hidden costs?

No. We will not process any orders or payment without confirming the amount with you beforehand and we ensure you are aware of all the costs involved before going ahead.

When does the payment get taken from my card?

Payments will be taken after you have been contacted by a member of the sales team. Normally, we will ask for a deposit of 50% with the balance being collected before the goods are dispatched.

Can I collect my furniture from the factory?

Yes, please let us know that you would like to collect the furniture. When the furniture is ready, we will contact you and arrange a time for you to come to the factory in Newhaven. We are open from 8.30am to 16.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Can I get a Certificate of Origin?

Yes – please contact the sales team who will be able to arrange this for you. We can provide a COO for all products and there may be a small charge to cover the cost of doing so.

Can I open a trade account?

Trade accounts are available to registered companies who have a VAT number (if applicable) and are working primarily in the: Home-furnishing Retail; Interiors; Interior Design; Contract Refurbishment or Construction industries. You can apply for a trade account here. Individuals can apply for an account here.

Can I have credit facilities?

Credit facilities are available for Trade Account holders, subject to approval. You will need to complete a credit application form from the Sales team and supply two references. Your first order will be on a pro-forma basis regardless of future credit approval. We do not normally offer credit to individuals.
